“Wisdom fears no thing, but still bows humbly to its own source, with its deeper understanding, loves all things, for it has seen the beauty, the tenderness, and the sweetness which underlie Life's mystery” –Manly P. Hall |
Welcome to the May issue of The New Journal of the Philosophical Research Society. In this month’s journal we visit two child prodigies, and their relationship to music and nature – learning what innocence might bring to creativity and the distance between giftedness and happiness. The archetypal child is a symbol of potential, but it also warns of the dangers of experiencing the world in a state of naiveté. Children are our future. What we leave them is our memorial, and our promise. We shape the culture they will inherit – let’s be sure to leave a legacy worth having. We are entering the second year of the new journal. We hope you have enjoyed it! Please contribute to its success – make a donation and support Manly Hall’s legacy at the Philosophical Research Society with its continuing efforts to examine and understand the metaphysical world. |
