Tarot of Marseille
by Lo Scarabeo
This 78-card deck, complete with companion booklet with divinatory instructions, is the most classic example of the Marseilles Tarots that first caught the attention of French occultists in the 17th and 18th centuries, thus beginning tarot's use as a divination tool.
Originally illustrated by master card maker and engraver Claude Burdel in Fribourg, Switzerland in 1751, this detailed reproduction created by Lo Scarabeo unites intuitive simplicity with esoteric profundity, maintaining both the integrity the symbolism of the Marseilles and an awareness of the veiled past of tarot.
The cards and companion booklet are in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Dutch.
