In this philosophical essay, Mr. Hall provides an impartial but thorough introduction to the Tarot Cards, their history, their symbolical importance, and their evaluation as a sacred book.
Among the other historical illustrations of ancient tarot designs is also pictured the complete Mantegna deck and the complete Knapp-Hall images.
Manly HaIl, in collaboration with the artist who made the artwork for "The Secret Teachings of All Ages" in 1927, designed a special Qabblastic tarot deck which were unavailable for many years. Over the years there have been many requests for the Knapp-Hall tarot cards to be reprinted. Thankfully in 2023 PRS was able to faithfully recreate the deck painstakingly produced in 1929 by illustrator John Augustus Knapp and author Manly Hall.
