We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Membership Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the launch and management of our new Membership Program.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Membership Manager will be a key member of our team and will be responsible for helping to establish and maintain our Membership Program. This program aims to expand our organization's base of support within the community. The Membership Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for both the public and internal PRS staff regarding the Membership Program. This role includes a wide range of responsibilities, from member engagement to event planning and coordination.

Internal: Maintain close contact with PRS staff, current members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss ideas, and plan events.
External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, potential members and others to assist in growing new memberships and maintaining current ones.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the primary contact for the Membership Program.
- Engage with both new and renewing members.
- Ensure members feel appreciated and that they receive Membership Benefits and ID cards.
- Send out regular email notifications to members regarding upcoming events.
- Organize and track RSVPs for events.
- Send reminders about membership renewals.
- Program and oversee special Members-Only events, including screenings, lectures, concerts, and social mixers.
- Contribute to the design of Membership levels and their associated benefits, actively participating in brainstorming new benefits such as merchandise and perks.
- Collaborate with various departments within PRS, including Marketing & PR, Programming, Fundraising & Development, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of the Membership Program.
- Personally oversee and attend several Members-Only Events each calendar month to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Previous experience in membership management, event planning, or a related role is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for the organization's mission and a genuine interest in building a strong community of supporters.
- Availability for some evenings and weekends as needed for in-person events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, sit, crouch, bend, speak, and hear.
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 and 20 pounds.
- This is a part-time position, with flexible hours to accommodate membership events and activities.

The Bookstore Clerk (PART-TIME) is responsible for greeting visitors, receiving merchandise, maintaining the appearance of the bookstore, keeping track of inventory, pricing books, totaling bills, accepting payment, making change for customers in the retail store, and assisting with events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Greeting visitors, answering the phone, and answering questions about PRS, events, and the bookstore items.
- Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Set-up displays and arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales; create signs for bookstore shelves.
- Create bookstore content for social media posts.
- Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise.
- Accept payments and make change; wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
- Perform register counts and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
- Keep the bookstore clean and orderly.
- Support staff members during events with checking in guests, selling event tickets, setting up book signing area, reception area, or other tasks.
- Lead visitors to the art gallery; open and close the gallery.
- Availability to work 2-3 shifts a week at night and on weekends.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Previous retail or customer service experience.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management.
