Welcome to the December issue of The New Journal of the Philosophical Research Society.

It is the season of joy, the season of goodwill, and the season of rebirth, but winter’s weather arrives hand-in-hand with the pleasures of the holidays, and the rain is already falling onto the aged roof of the library at the Philosophical Research Society. For decades that venerable roof has sheltered the treasures beneath it, but it has gradually gathered the seams and cracks of honest service, and now water has learned to find a path into our treasured building. 

 Please make this the season of giving – help us to keep a roof over our heads. This month, help the PRS preserve the wisdom of the ages by donating to our campaign to replace it and the skylights. We have already raised thousands of dollars, doubled by a generous matching gift, but we are still short of our target. We need you.
