Welcome to the October issue of The New Journal of the Philosophical Research Society. As the year turns from summer to fall and we celebrate the season with contemporary festivals like Halloween and Día de los Muertos, it is time to remember and honor the words and deeds of our ancestors, who created our culture. The metaphysical life we share in the present is founded upon the thought and leadership of generations of spiritual guardians who have tended the flame of truth.
The Philosophical Research Society is home to all seekers. Join us in our search for the wisdom of all ages. We share a three-fold debt to the human family—to maintain and nurture the wisdom of the past in our present and to pass it on to the generations of the future, emulating what we have learned by practicing the ancient truths which are its message. The image of the three graces is an emblem of this contract with the past—they model the grace to give, the grace to receive, and the grace to give again. |
