First published in 1928, Manly P. Hall’s mammoth encyclopedia of esoteric symbols and traditions The Secret Teachings of All Ages has influenced and inspired generations of readers and seekers with its interpretations of the themes underlying the ancient mythology, philosophy, religion, rituals, and arcane mysteries of all ages. In 2023, the Philosophical Research Society released Hall’s own Study Guide to The Secret Teachings of All Ages – Volume 1, written in 1960 and only recently rediscovered in the PRS Archives.
Now, PRS is pleased to present the 2nd Volume of A Study Guide to The Secret Teachings, containing brand-new essays and analyses of the first six chapters in the book by acclaimed esoteric scholars and mythologists John Bucher, Devon Deimler, Sandra del Castillo, Mitch Horowitz and Stephen Reedy. This volume includes commentaries and questions to guide both general students and experienced readers on Chapters I – VI in The Secret Teachings covering: The Ancient Mysteries & Secret Societies Parts I – III, Atlantis and the Gods of Antiquity, The Life and Writings of Thoth Hermes Trismegistus, and The Initiation of the Pyramid.

MANLY P. HALL (1901-1990), widely regarded as a sage and teacher steeped in the wisdom of antiquity, was one of the leading esoteric scholars of the twentieth century. In 1934, he founded the Philosophical Research Society (www.prs.org) in Los Angeles, which continues to publish Hall’s many works and pursue his educational mission.
