Approaching the Secret Doctrine: Its Teachings and Practical Application (CA)
by Pablo Sender
Approaching the Secret Doctrine provides a careful account of the main concepts contained in Cosmogenesis, the first volume of H.P. Blavatsky’s The Secret Doctrine, which presents an esoteric account of the origin and constitution of the cosmos, the laws directing its evolution, and its ultimate purpose; however, Sender's book offers significantly more than metaphysical exposition.
Part I describes an approach to The Secret Doctrine that turns its study into a form of yoga. Part II provides diagrams and charts to clearly and systematically explore and expound upon Cosmogenesis (all non-English technical terms are translated). And finally, Part III presents an innovative method to apply the teachings to the human mind and consciousness along with a series of meditations and exercises designed to grow self-knowledge and meet daily life from the perspective put forth by Blavatsky.
Pablo Sender, PhD is a leading Theosophical scholar and has been a student of the teachings of H.P. Blavatsky for over twenty-five years. He joined the Theosophical Society in 1996 in his native Argentina where he received his doctorate in Biological Sciences. His background encompasses both Theosophy and science, enabling him to present spiritual teachings in manner that is profound, precise, and practical.
