Self Realization Candle by Ana Estela
BACK IN STOCK!
Handmade in small batches and poured in Los Angeles, Ana Estela's candles use a base of soy wax, beeswax, and paraffin.
“When through realization we become aware of this divine virtue within ourselves, our inner nature is enlightened, with the result that our outer nature inevitably is transmuted.” - Self Unfoldment through Disciplines of Realization
The Self Realization candle goes beyond the scope of self-love. Infused over the course of three days with the Masculine Energy of the Sun (Solar Aka Dua Energy) and the Feminine (Lunar Aka Dua Energy) energy of the Moon, this candle brings balance to these energies within as we seek the unfolding of our highest selves. The Solar and Lunar energies work together to strengthen and balance the heart and creativity.
The soft lavender color brings with it compassion and kindness while also supporting us in the endeavors of a more aware and disciplined life. Lavender flowers and rose petals were added to the wax base as a reminder of how spiritual wisdom unfolds in our lives and inspires inner healing and peace of mind.
Each candle is read over from Self Unfoldment by Disciplines of Realization, selections from Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, and The Eve of St. Agnes by John Keats for three nights to further infuse the candle and illuminate the path to self-realization.
How to Use Your Candle
- Find a quiet place, and cleanse the energy of the space with your preferred method of smudge or smoke (palo santo and sage work especially well).
- Grab some paper and pen. Sit down, close your eyes, and visualize your intentions. What energies do you want to let go of? What energies do you want to invite? Focus on how you will feel when these intentions are accomplished or realized. After meditating on these intentions, open your eyes and write them down, using as much detail as possible.
- Light your candle. You may choose to fold your written intentions and place it beneath your candle, or place your intention into the flame, let it burn, and then return the ashes to the earth.
- Let your candle burn until it goes out on its own. Monitor it for safety, or place in a bowl of water. If you need to turn the candle off, remember to snuff it out instead of blowing. When you relight the candle, make sure to reset your intentions.
Please note: Your candle comes fully charged, dressed, and programmed. The additional dressing may disturb the wax and wick. For safety, be careful when handling the candle while burning as the glass can be hot to the touch. Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
Ana Estela Lloyd was born and raised in South Los Angeles. She is a poet and writer, who has studied anthropology, art, literature, psychology, and sociology. Her voracity in learning led her down a path of logic and science. But after a near-death experience in 2014, during the birth of her son, she began to question everything. That hunger for answers and a brief stint as a Children’s Behavioral Therapist led her to Mostly Angels LA.
Through the various classes and workshops taken at Mostly Angels LA, she began to understand exactly why she was here. The need to nurture and hold space in a compassionate and loving way was not just a trait but a necessity within her community. Ana continues to study esoteric philosophy and mysticism at The Philosophical Research Society.
