Eva Malhotra makes sculptural “paintings, caring into multicolored layers of acrylic paint. Malhotra encourages viewers to “see” her work with their eyes and their hands in order to experience them more deeply.
Malhotra has had solo exhibitions in the past 5 years at museums at the CECUT MUSEUM in Mexico in 2021 and at the Triennial.2 in July 2024-February 2025; the Seiriki Museum in Fukuoka, Japan in April/May 2023, Shridarani Gallery in New Delhi, India in March, 2025,; at the Biennial Exhibition 2025 in the Bihar Museum of Art in India in August/September 2025; the Museum of the Autonomous University of Chile in Santiago, Chile in May 2025; at the Museum of the Autonomous University of Chile in Talca, Chile in September 2025; and in SuperMarket Art Fair in Sweden in May 2020. She’s also has participated in numerous group exhibitions, the most recent is at the Philosophical Research Society’s Gallery and Library entitled ‘MYTH OF DESCENT. Malhotra is exploring the powerful effect of TOUCH in human beings which is why she insists viewers touch to experience her artwork. During Malhotra’s most recent solo exhibition in January through March, 2026 at the Bihar Museum of Art in India, Malhotra held workshops with blind school girls, utilizing muti-textured items to create their compositions. Malhotra’s solo exhibition of over 20 artworks titled ENCOUNTERS is scheduled to take place from April 11 through July 11, 2026 at the RITA HOUSE in Los Angeles. evamalhotra.com // @eva.malhotra.7 |
